  • Gaddis Park

    Gaddis Park is one of the finest in the state, with ten lighted tennis courts, a tennis pavilion, six ball fields, walking trail, playground equipment, basketball courts, picnic tables, grills and an open air pavilion. A full time director oversees organized recreational programs including baseball, softball, soccer, tennis and flag football.


  • Forest Country Club

    The Forest Country Club features an 18-hole golf course, swimming pool, a lake for fishing and a clubhouse. A large banquet hall is available for private parties on a rental basis. Family membership costs include an initial entry fee and monthly dues.

    The Forest Public Library is here to serve you. Whether it is for a school report, general interest in a subject or the pleasure of reading, the Forest Public Library would like to assist you.

  • Roosevelt State Park

    Just off I-20 on state Highway 13 (12 miles from Forest) is one of Mississippi's best state parks. Roosevelt features sleep accommodations ranging from primitive camping sites to a new 20 unit motel. Amenities include a swimming pool, a 150-acre lake, tennis courts, ball fields, fishing, paddle boats, miniature golf, meeting rooms and more.


  • Livingston Performing Arts and Media Center

    The Livingston Performing arts and Media Center provides theater seating for 600 people with a lobby, public restrooms, auditorium, sound and light production rooms and dressing rooms. The professional stage has a 3,200-square foot wooden floor with a 50-foot curtain opening. The facility is handicapped accessible to the public. The Livingston Performing Arts & Media Center is strategically located off I-20 at Roosevelt State Park in Morton, Mississippi.

    The facility hosts radio and television production capacity in conjunction with the Mississippi Educational Television Network and Mississippi Public Radio. Worldwide tele-conferencing will also make this facility extremely appealing.

    Other comfortable facilities include overnight lodge rooms, cabins, campgrounds, and group camps. Recreational facilities include a swimming pool, water slide, boating and fishing. Alfreda lodge can accommodate 300 people for meetings and banquets.

    The center includes equipment for a variety of events, including solo artists, ballet performances, professional stage plays, and orchestra performances. Enjoy all the amenities Mississippi State Parks have to offer, and you will find yourself coming back again and again.


  • Bienville National Forest

    Scott County's 86,000 acres of National Forest land is open to public hunting, fishing, hiking, and camping. Shockaloe Riding Trail, part of the Bienville National Forest, provides hiking and horseback riding trails, hitching areas, water, comfort stations, camping, picnic tables and grills. The 26-mile route is a favorite of horse lovers throughout the country.


  • Scott County/Forest Coliseum

    The Scott County/Forest Coliseum is a great multi-purpose structure that has the following features: Arena 35,000 Square feet; Bleacher seating 3,500 ; Wheel chair 24 slots ; Chair seating concert 2,000; Total seating - 5,500 plus and is livestock available.

    The Scott County/Forest Coliseum is a multi-dimensional facility that can hold a variety of events, such as horse shows, monster trucks, arenacross, circus, rodeos, concerts, trade shows and k-9 activities. 209 stalls and 84 complete RV hookups, will accommodate equine activities. The inside arena has 35,000 square feet of floor space, a 20x40 stage, sound system and bleacher seating for 3,500 people. Wheel chair 24 slots ; Chair seating concert 2,000; Total seating - 5,500 plus and is livestock available.
